Blommer shell mulch is made up of the outside shell of the cocoa bean. It is an attractive brown color which admits and retains water and never becomes soggy. When spreading, it stays in place, spreads evenly and never packs. Only 1-inch is needed to cover ground for weed control. Will not bleach out. It gets darker with age. One 2-cubic feet bag will cover 22-24 square feet at 1-inch thick.

This mulch smells wonderful and swells to provide deeper coverage once it gets wet.  And it is really visually beautiful.  Although it seems too light to stay put, the wind does not disperse it.  I needed more than twice as much as I thought, but it was worth it.  The order-online and deliver-to-store option is great.
